A laboratory-grown diamond is pure carbon grown into a crystal over a few weeks. A mined diamond forms underground over millions of years. The chemistry, hardness and sparkle are identical. Only the origin differs.

Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure as a mined diamond, and a standard tester cannot tell the two apart. A gemologist needs specialist laboratory equipment to distinguish them. Moissanite and cubic zirconia are different materials that only imitate the look. Every Myst centre stone of 1 carat and above comes with an IGI certificate showing its cut, colour, clarity and carat.

No. A laboratory-grown diamond scores 10 on the Mohs hardness scale, the same as a mined diamond, and it keeps its brilliance for life. A hard knock on a sharp edge can chip any stone, so take your ring off for the gym or heavy work.

Both methods produce a real laboratory-grown diamond. HPHT (high pressure, high temperature) recreates the heat and pressure deep inside the earth. CVD (chemical vapour deposition) builds the crystal layer by layer from carbon-rich gas. Myst uses CVD for every stone because it produces a high-purity crystal with no metallic inclusions, which gives you a brighter, cleaner stone.

The 4Cs are cut, colour, clarity and carat:

• Cut sets how much light the stone returns to your eye.
• Colour runs from D (colourless) down the alphabet.
• Clarity grades tiny internal marks, from Flawless to Included.
• Carat is the stone’s weight.

Myst sets only E–F colour and VS–VVS clarity.

Carat measures weight: 1 carat equals 0.2 grams. It doesn’t measure quality or size directly. A 1 carat round stone measures about 6.5 mm across, while a 1 carat oval looks larger because it’s longer. Most Myst pieces centre on a full 1 carat stone.

Round gives the most sparkle and suits every setting. Oval, pear and marquise look bigger for their weight and make your fingers look slimmer. Emerald and asscher cuts show off clarity and give a clean, architectural look. Try a few shapes on at an appointment before you decide.

• Round face: drops and linear designs add length.
• Long face: studs, clusters and wider shapes add width.
• Square face: rounded and teardrop shapes soften the jaw.
• Heart-shaped face: designs wider at the bottom balance a narrow chin.
• Oval face: most shapes work.

The pendant’s shape and chain length change how your face and neckline look:

• Round face: a V-shaped drop on a longer chain adds length.
• Long face: a round pendant on a shorter chain adds width.
• Square face: soft, curved shapes offset a strong jaw.
• Heart-shaped face: a pendant at the collarbone fills the space below a narrow chin.

Look at the veins on your inner wrist:

• Green veins: a warm undertone, which yellow and rose gold flatter.
• Blue or purple veins: a cool undertone, which suits white gold.
• A mix of both: a neutral undertone, and all three golds work on you.

Every Myst stone is E–F colour, so it looks colourless in any metal. White gold matches the stone for an icy, seamless finish. Yellow and rose gold frame it with warmth, and that contrast makes the stone look even whiter.

18k is 75% pure gold, so it has a richer colour and costs more. 14k is 58.5% pure gold, which makes it harder and more scratch-resistant for rings and bracelets you wear daily. Every Myst piece comes in both karats, in yellow, white and rose gold.

We make each piece for you. We look at your face structure, your hands and how you’ll wear it. Then we adjust stone sizes or redesign details until the piece fits you.

Yes. Send us a sketch, photo or reference image on WhatsApp or by email, or bring it to your appointment. We’ll agree the stones, metal and setting with you before we start.

Yes. Book an appointment, either at your home in Mumbai or on a video call, and tell us what you’d like changed. We’ll check whether that design can take the change and get back to you.

Yes. We can engrave names, initials, dates or a short message. Tell us what you’d like when you place your order.

Your order takes 15 to 20 days from the day you place it. We make every piece from scratch, and that time covers casting, setting, polishing and final checks.

Book on WhatsApp or through our website. In Mumbai, we bring loose stones and sample settings to your home. You can try any stone on any setting and get a price on the spot. Outside Mumbai, we meet you on a video call.

We price each piece on four things:

• The day’s gold rate
• The gold weight in your chosen karat
• The weight and shape of the stones
• A making charge

Gold rates change every day, so we share the exact price for your metal and karat before you order.

Put your jewellery on after perfume, lotion and hairspray. Take it off to swim, clean or work out. To clean it, use warm water, mild soap and a soft brush, then dry it with a lint-free cloth. Store each piece separately, because the stones will scratch your other jewellery. Check that your earring screw backs are tight every few weeks.
